Be a part of Burlington’s newest tradition by auditioning for the second annual Burlington Does Broadway. This New Year’s Eve concert is a collaboration between Lyric Theatre Company, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, and Vermont PBS. This performance is generously presented by Vermont Federal Credit Union.

Nate Venet is Directing for Lyric Theatre this year, and Benjamin Klemme will once again be conducting the show.

AUDITIONS: Thursday | September 26

Lyric Creative Space: 7 Green Tree Drive | South Burlington

For Dance Auditions – 6:00 pm start: Two combinations will be taught⁠—one jazz and one tap. You may choose to audition with one or both styles. Please bring flat or heeled jazz shoes and/or tap shoes, and wear appropriate dancewear.

For Vocal Auditions – 7:00 pm start: Please bring 32-bars of a musical theater song that showcases your strengths as a singer. Sheet music is required, and an accompanist will be provided.

***Vocal audition is not required to be considered for a dance number. Dance audition is not required to be considered for a vocal solo/chorus part.***

***Auditions are open to anyone ages 14 and up.***

ALL PERFORMERS must be available for the first rehearsal, orchestra, technical, and dress rehearsals:

October 3 at 6:30 pm, December 20 at 6:30 pm, December 21 at 1:00 pm, December 30 at 6:30 pm, and an all-day call on December 31.

VOCALISTS will have additional rehearsals on the following dates at 6:30 pm, unless otherwise noted. Please note that not all vocalists will be called to each rehearsal.

October 3, October 8, October 10, November 24 (at 1:00 pm), November 26, December 1 (at 1:00 pm), December 11, December 16, and December 18.

DANCERS will have their rehearsal schedule finalized by September 29.
