Delano-Nulty AwardFor 45 years, Lyric Theatre Company has been a part of Greater Burlington’s vibrant arts community. Each year Lyric helps an area high school senior defray expenses during his or her freshman year of college. The Delano-Nulty Award honors two of Lyric’s founding members, Howard Delano and Polly Nulty.

The Lyric Theatre Community is proud to present The Delano-Nulty Award for 2019 to Tommy Page of White River Junction, Vermont.

Tommy is a recent graduate of Hartford High School, and this fall he will be pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Congratulations, Tommy!

Criteria for future award recipients
  • Graduation from an area high school with plans to attend college the following September
  • Involvement in theatre through Lyric Theatre Company, school productions, or other area theatre companies
  • Demonstration of continuing interest in the performing arts
  • Educational/career goals that relate to the performing arts (theatre, music, dance or technical theatre)

​In addition to the official application, the applicant must provide two letters of recommendation from his or her drama or music director, or an adult who has supervised/instructed the applicant in the performing arts or technical aspects of theatre. These letters should be in a sealed envelope marked confidential and included in the application package. Applications can be obtained by calling the Lyric Office at 802-658-1484. Scholarship applications and letters of reference must be received by the deadline listed on the application.
