Lyric Theatre Company is proud to announce Lyla Trigaux as the 2026 recipient of our annual Delano-Nulty Scholarship! This $2,000 award honors the incredible legacy of our founding members, Howard Delano and Polly Nulty, by supporting a Vermont high school senior pursuing a higher education in the performing arts. From playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz to Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Lyla has spent many years growing up on our stage and sharing her exceptional talent with our community. She is heading off to Yale University to study Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies, and we couldn’t be prouder to support the next step of her journey

For over 50 years, Lyric Theatre Company has been an integral part of our vibrant arts community, fostering creativity, talent, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. In continued support of emerging artists, Lyric proudly awards a $2,000 scholarship each year to a graduating high school senior who plans to pursue higher education in the performing arts. The Delano-Nulty Award honors two of Lyric’s founding members, Howard Delano and Polly Nulty, whose passion, dedication, and vision helped shape the organization’s legacy. This scholarship reflects their enduring commitment to artistic excellence and arts education. The Delano-Nulty Award is available exclusively to students who intend to major in the performing arts at an accredited college or university. Through this award, Lyric Theatre Company seeks to encourage and support the next generation of performers, creators, and arts leaders.
