For over 41 years, Lyric Theatre Company has been a part of Greater Burlington’s vibrant arts community. Each year Lyric awards a $1,000 award to an area high school senior to help defray expenses during his or her freshman year of college. The Delano-Nulty Scholarship honors two of Lyric’s founding members, Howard Delano and Polly Nulty.
The 2018 Delano-Nulty Award has been awarded to Shea Dunlop.
Congratulations to Shea!
Shea recently played “Joan” in Vermont Stage’s hit production of Fun Home, and she spent the summer studying at Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC. Favorite credits include Spring Awakening (Anna) with FlynnArts, Les Misérables (Fantine) with Very Merry Theatre, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia) with Robin Fawcett at CVU. Shea takes voice at Bill Reed Voice Studio, dances at Spotlight Vermont, and has spent her Saturday afternoons for the past five years in FlynnArts’ Show Choir. She is currently a senior at Champlain Valley Union High School.
