Delano-Nulty Award

For nearly 50 years, Lyric Theatre Company has been part of the dynamic arts community in the area. For the past several years, Lyric Theatre Company has awarded $2,000 to an area high school senior to help support their interest in pursuing an education in the performing arts. This scholarship, The Delano-Nulty Award, honors two of Lyric’s founding members—Howard Delano and Polly Nulty.

The submission period for the 2023 Delano-Nulty Award is now closed. The recipient will be contacted by a member of the Lyric Education Committee and announced this month.

Thank you to all of the applicants, young artists and arts educators in our community!

The Lyric Community was proud to present The 2022 Delano-Nulty Award to Theo Ellis Novotny of Burlington!

Theo recently graduated from Burlington High School, and plans to pursue a double major in Theater Studies and Computer Science at Occidental College in Los Angeles this fall. He has appeared twice with Lyric on stage at the Flynn in Burlington Does Broadway, with the BHS Senior Choir and Drama Club, and various other local groups. Congratulations, Theo!
