One year from now, the hills will come alive with The Sound of Music: In Concert at Trapp Family Lodge. As the sun goes to bed behind the Green Mountains, nestled in the splendor of Vermont’s Nebraska Valley — you can experience the legendary music of Rodgers & Hammerstein as it was destined to be heard. This first-of-its-kind event is brought to you by Lyric Theatre Company, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, and Trapp Family Lodge, with special support from The Flynn and Stowe Performing Arts.

These remarkable evenings of song and story will be conducted by Andrew Crust, Music Director for VSO, and hosted by Kerstin Anderson, a Vermont native and star of the celebrated 2015 Sound of Music National Tour. Join them and many more special guests to celebrate the momentous legacy of Lyric Theatre’s 50th Anniversary, VSO’s 90th Anniversary, the 75th Anniversary of The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, and the 65th Anniversary of the musical’s Broadway premiere.

Tickets are available now for guests with reservations June 19-23, 2024 at Trapp Family Lodge (www.trappfamily.com), and to the general public later this fall through The Flynn (www.flynnvt.org). In case of inclement weather, performances will take place at The Flynn in Burlington.
